Pompeii was a tour I was glad to have participated in. It was educational, heartwarming and tragic. I experienced so many emotions I was exhausted when leaving. Climbing and descending my emotions took more out of me than walking around the site.
It was delightful to see how advanced the society was, but heart wrenching to see the remains of people covered, but preserved, by the ash from the eruption of the volcano.
Most definitely a memorable tour–I’d suggest bringing tissue because it tugged at my heart strings. On the other hand, seeing how insightful and forward-thinking the society was encouraged me because they accomplished all that they did without the technology and education we now have access to. I wondered, just how far we’ll go from where we are now.
